Mr Edwin Mejia is a structural engineer with over 17 years of experience working on projects throughout Australia and South America. His knowledge covers all aspects of the evolution of a building project, including structural design, project and site engineering, estimations, forensic engineering, and, of course, being the founder of BRIC Engineering. Having studied the craft, and since his involvement in the field, Mr Mejia has garnered an astounding amount of experience in every aspect of the construction industry.
He has carried out multiple studies into structural failure and deterioration. His investigation on ground penetrating radar technology for corrosion detection in reinforced concrete appears in the May 2012 issue of the Engineers Australia magazine (pages 46 and 48) and is also available online.
